Apple 13-inch MacBook Pro Mid-2009 Review

Just days after the launch of revised MacBook Pro’s, I am pleased to bring you my hands on review of the 13-inch version. This really is a fantastic laptop from the guys and gals at Apple. Please check out the review and enjoy! More great reviews can be viewed on my YouTube Channel or over at www.geekanoids.co.uk

@Abellikescookies For video editing and photoshop I would definitely recommend a larger screen. Also, sit down for half and hour and write down all the times or places you go and if you would really take a laptop with you. If you answer ‘no’ to most of the scenarios, then get a desktop iMac. Good luck.

I am saving my money to get one of these, but I found out that the iMac 21.5” is almost at the same price of this one, so I don’t know which one should I choose!
I use my computers mainly for video editing and Photoshop.
Could you give me a help please? :)

@davomrmac Well, that would put Apple really behind, since other laptops/notebooks have had touchscreen capable models for a long time.

Also, I didn’t really notice the keyboard back-lighting, since it didn’t really get much darker, than when the light was on.

@CJCA915 Maybe they will next time around.

Why not just make the screen a touchscreen?

@randomrazr I’d only get to the 15inch if you are interested in anti-glare option, so if you do photography for sure I’d get the 15inch, but for doing office work, or home work then 13inch versions are fine for you. Yes, photoshop would be faster as well but photoshop would work fast on the 13 inch currect versions just fine. If your doing video and photoshop all the time then you are better off with an imac anyways.

@Meaganissocool If you buy new now, they all have 4GB of RAM as standard.

@randomrazr Possibly, if you do a lot of Photoshop or Video work.

I was thinking about purchasing this , but I’m unsure about how much memory it has. I download games & save alot of music & photos to my computers, & i was wondering if their was enough memory on the macbook pro 13 to with-stand such memory? thanks.

do you yourself think its worth paying 600 dollars more for the 15 over the 13inch?

@ferbie7 The lock (as with all computers) accepts a cable type Kensington Lock. This is available from many different manufacturers. They cost from around £10 upward.

@peazkraft Some do, but I have not experienced this on the later models.

@yaycobiskewl If you use it plugged in all the time, yes, this will shorten battery life. It is suggested that you use it on battery at least once a month, until the battery is fully drained. This will exercise the battery and help prolong its effectiveness to hold charge.
